Chevrolet Management System was developed as part of my final year diploma project to streamline post-sales car service operations. The application covered essential workflows such as job card creation, job card estimation, billing, service history, and inventory tracking. The main goal was to replace manual documentation with an efficient desktop-based software solution tailored for Chevrolet service centers.

The system was built using Visual Studio 2008 (C#NET) for the frontend and SQL Server 2005 for the backend, following an Iterative Development Model. Key features included admin login, service type scheduling (5K & 7.5K KMPH), parts and labor management, daily reports, and job tracking. The software also supported advanced functionalities like automatic discount calculations for paint labor, backup/restore options, and flexible report generation.

We identified and addressed various limitations in the existing system, such as module inefficiencies, poor database performance, and a lack of access control. Our solution upgraded the system architecture from MS Access to SQL Server, redesigned modules for admin-only access, and added new features like service reminders, employee records, and detailed part management.

The project was developed under the guidance of Miracle Computer Institute and focused on real-time implementation practices including requirement analysis, testing, and feasibility studies. Future enhancements include an automated Stock Summary Module that dynamically adjusts part inventories based on billing and new entries.
